AI & Generative Tools Disclosure
The Journal of Contemporary Economics (JCE) acknowledges that artificial intelligence (AI) and generative tools can enhance research, analysis, and manuscript preparation. All authors are required to disclose any use of AI or generative tools in their submissions. This includes, but is not limited to, text generation, data analysis, figure creation, and statistical modelling. The disclosure should clearly describe the nature and extent of AI assistance, as well as specify which parts of the manuscript were influenced or generated by AI.
AI tools cannot be credited as authors, and authors retain full responsibility for the originality, accuracy, and interpretation of their work. The use of AI must not substitute for authorship responsibility, compromise scholarly integrity, or introduce fabricated or misleading content. Failure to disclose the use of AI or misuse of AI tools is considered a serious violation of publication ethics and may result in corrective actions, including rejection or retraction of the manuscript. Authors are expected to adhere to internationally recognized ethical standards, including the COPE Guidance on the Use of AI in Scholarly Work, to ensure transparency, accountability, and integrity in scholarly publishing. The journal’s peer review process may evaluate any AI-generated content to ensure compliance with these standards.
