Abstract

In order to mitigate the consequences of the social and economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, an approach through socio-economic activities is needed. It is necessary to use all available resources as generators of employment and new values. One of such models is precisely social entrepreneurship. The aim of this paper is to compare the level of development of social entrepreneurship in developed countries and in Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H) in order to get a picture of the importance of social entrepreneurship for overall economic and social development. In this paper, we analyzed social entrepreneurship in developed countries and in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through this comparative analysis, we have established that social entrepreneurship is of great importance for economic and social development and that a lot still needs to be done for the development of social entrepreneurship in B&H.
